ABOUT US

Unlocking the power of
IMMERSIVE TECHNOLOGY
for practical, educational purposes

Why we chose VR| Veative was created as a joint venture between two groups, both of which had decades of EdTech experience, serving several markets around the world. Choosing to enter the VR in education market, allowed us to leverage the combined strengths in our backgrounds and create a practicality in application, rather than being swayed by hype around the new innovative immersive technology. Attending to education means that you are best served by surrounding yourself with experienced educators. Everyone who has been involved in the creation of our content has had at least one of the following qualifications:
– A bachelor’s degree in that discipline, and years of teaching experience
– A Master’s degree and years of teaching experience
– A PhD in the sciences

We take education seriously. VR isn’t a gimmicky learning platform to us. We learned early on that providing students with applicable content and the right VR platform helped to bridge the gap between knowledge and understanding. VR provides educators with a significantly different way to engage students and improve learning outcomes.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Do you cover the entire curriculum?

No, and we never will. If we did, it would just show that we do not know what we are talking about. There are some topics, like arithmetic, where you may be better served spending your money on paper and a pencil. We key in on abstract, complex concepts, which many students have a hard time visualizing (states of matter, osmosis, Charles’ Law), and help them to not only see what they have been missing but experience it as well. Attend to the tough stuff first!

Will the VR replace me?

Nothing relaces a good teacher! Our VR platform and content is designed to enhance what you do. Without VR no teacher can take their students into a plant to experience photosynthesis, through the gastrointestinal tract to locate organs and assemble them into a digestive system, nor into the brain to construct a neuron. But you can do that now, with VR and proper educational content aligned to the needs of your students.

Why can’t students just use a tablet or PC?

There are many things to be learned using these devices and there is no reason to ditch them. But for certain things, it is more appropriate to use a VR, as this offers a student a different way to access information. In a world of distractions (phones, friends… life!), there is a beauty in affording some learning opportunities that are completely distraction-free, while also being judgment-free (no peering eyes from peers). The VR creates an atmosphere which envelopes a student, giving them a sense of presence and a feeling of “being there”, which absolutely allows for focused concentration. What better way to get to those Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) than through an active and open mind (a student who enjoys this type of environment), immersed in a complex concept, free of anything diminishing their focus or concentration. That’s a good recipe for learning!

OUTREACH

25+ Countries

Veative launched an awareness drive for virtual reality (VR) based school education. The regions covered in the first phase of this initiative included Africa, India, and the Middle East. Our teams visited various schools and conducted awareness workshops involving both teachers and students, without any cost to the school or institute. While many ran toward first world, private schools to ignite interest in virtual learning, we chose a tougher route because proving that immersive education really is for every learner worldwide has always been vitally important to us. With a practical, pragmatic approach, Veative has long sought to bring tangible learning opportunities to every student seeking this chance.

This is Veative’s commitment to our global society, taking another step toward fulfilling our mission of bringing VR-based educational solutions to ALL, motivating learning and growth, throughout the world.

As our stated mission is to enhance the educational experience of learners worldwide, how we achieve this is by positively influencing engagement, retention, and the desire to learn. We know that there is a need for school administration and teachers to be aware of a student’s learning experiences and that it is important to get the data needed to inform educational decisions. We strongly believe that teachers are the backbone of classrooms, and their understanding of the new technologies available is very important. To that end, we have an equally strong attention to reporting and analytics, ensuring that teachers are connected with student progression.

How VR is ENRICHING EDUCATION

R

RETENTION

Research suggests that visualization and a VR environment strengthen the connection between a student and a concept, heightening retention.

E

ENGAGEMENT

It is about participating in the learning process, having actual/virtual experiences, and enjoying the process, which heightens engagement.

D

DISTRACTION FREE

When students are inside a virtual environment, they are far less prone to distractions such as other students, phones, and so on.
